Fab Festive Gifts!

In my family you'd always come home from uni/work for Christmas to a lovely decorated lounge. Complete with nativity scene, precariously placed on top of the tv and the cats staring densely at their reflection in the shiny baubauls on the tree (which was always bought too big or too small) Chocolates rapidly dissappearing from the branches, whilst my sister and I morph increasingly rounder. There's also been one touch, my mum's orange decorations, that I've nicked and I love making them. They smell amazing!

You will need-
1 bad whole cloves - Holland & Barret 2.09 for a biggish bag
firm medium sized oranges
flat headed pins to secure rinbbon or attach beads.
beads/ribbon other random things to decorate

All you do is push the cloves into the oranges- thats basically it. Its then up to you to exercise your artistic ability! It's quite fun and immensely satisfying! You might need a thimball at some point! Place neer a fire to maximise smelliness and lovliness! Who needs 'ambi pure'

Chazza Finds.

The picture isn't too clear. This is basically a long blazer/dressing gown type garment. I tried something similar on in Topshop last week but that was 120 quid! Can be worn over pleather trousers or just tights. I didn't mind spending a fiver in Samaritans for this almost identical version. Worn here with a chazza shop belt, I plan on purchasing a long length of leather and using it as a tie.

Can't remember where from but think it was 2.99. Very Issey!

Cancer Research 4 quid. Mum says its "vile" :)

MOHO vintage sale (weighed as part of a bundle so not certain, but not much!)

Again something I've been looking for on the high street and not finding, a slouchy black blazer! This was from Samaritans again, 2.50, two massive shoulder pads removed and a wash and it's lovely. Dead similar to this one below from Topshop 65 quid!

These pictures are embarrassing, yet at least you can see what they're like on, right? The skirt is box pleated and pretty crazy! The little jacket is ace. It's old Miss Selfridge and the top half is lace, very cute.

Happy Days.

Outerwear fit for a northern winter & stylish too.

Winter is coming and everyone is banging on about 'the coat' I've mainly wrapped myself up in sheep skin coats from The Chazzas, I have two so far and I'm sure I'll add another one to the mix before long. They really are the warmest of coats! This year I've been searching for a suitable alternative, as although sheep skins never fail me, they do have a tendency to look a bit bulky and unfeminine. Furthermore they are incredibly tricky to clean with most dry cleaners not accepting them due to the expense. I've modelled (very badly) two that I have picked up thus far.

The first is a heavy, wool, military style, midi length coat in midnight navy. I wouldn't usually go for this shape but I really love it! It cost 6 pounds from Age Concern. It didn't have a single mark on it and it also didn't smell musty or old. TOTAL FIND.

It reminded me of this one from Gucci, but it wasn't 2,210 quid... yikes!

The second is probably one of my favourite finds of 2011. Capes are due for a resurgence again, seeing as though Autumn is about the only time you can wear one. Also coats in 'pop' colours are huge news. I noticed there were some in Primani the other day, change the buttons people and no one will know. So here is my offering, one a-ma-zing letter box, red, wool cape, again modelled by me, tit. It's just got to get that bit more colder and I'll be strutting in this bad boy. Cost 7 quid from East Cheshire Hospice Chazza.

Above cape Sonia By Sonia Rykiel 500 quid and below M Missoni 725 quid.

I actually think mine trumps the lot!

Shiny Round My Wrist

Bought these two beauts in Age Concern the other day. The chain bracelet is sterling silver and the coins are old three pence pieces (it's what's carved into them anyway) there's one from 1910, 1918, 1919, 1920, 1938 & 1940, it cost £3. The other is very simple and minimal. I like the stacked bands and its unusual rectangular form £1

Placemats Of Distinction

Check these out. Bought in London, Streatham, from a Trinity Hospice Chazza, these 'Placemats Of Distinction'(phah) showcase scenes from New Zealand. There so retro! Love em!

Critics Choice

Back in London, one rainy, spring day, I'd been to the market on my clapped out bicycle. On the way back to Wapping, trying not to get mowed down, I came across a small local Car Booty! I chained up the wheels and decided to have a quick look. I'm so pleased I did as I found this amazing box framed scene, complete with ace, tiny detailing- click on the images to enlarge. It's follwed me everywhere, a framed friend. I only wish others were so excited by this marvellous find. Every time I wave it people's faces, it's sad to say they are not impressed. I think it's too granny for them (boom! take that!) they cannot handle it.

What do you think?
